Thievul were tricky. There was a reason it was one of the few fox Pokémon she had not yet attempted to capture and saddle. Caprice was cantankerous when she became reunited with Shalin, and she remembered Letheia's powerful bucking at the bottom of the Crystal Trench. Even now, the Alolan Ninetales' most powerful thrusts hurt a little. It was still worth the thrill of a Ninetales rodeo, but when she threw her weight right under where Shalin sat, could that ever sting.

"Were you at the Ranger meeting where they distributed Josh Dragomir 's technology? If you put the RFID frequency into the HoloWear, you would be able to track it more easily," Shalin suggested as Lathiel traveled ahead of Caleb and Lyra, booting up the app that let her track their target. She steered the Type: Null toward the signal. "Might want to have a disabling Pokémon handy, too. I don't think the Thievul will let us get close, either." Certainly not close enough for her to jump on it and rodeo the dark-type to exhaustion... if the Thievul was even big enough for her to do so.

Electric-types were perfect. Shalin didn't have many of them; those were her Gym Leader friend's specialty. Activating the HoloWear and scanning for Thievul energy signatures, the device didn't return any nearby. It seemed like their quarry was still quite distant. "That will work wonderfully," Shalin nodded. "Being able to slow it down will make it much easier to trap it. Then we can get it re-captured and transferred back to its proper owner."

After traveling a short distance, the glasses manufactured by Josh Dragomir 's company returned a signal. Though it didn't confirm that it was the Thievul they were looking for, a Thievul was nearby. "We're getting closer," Shalin whispered as she slowed her Type: Null to a walk out of need for stealth. If she had the opportunity to, she would ambush the fox from above and mount it, fighting the Pokémon until it was tuckered out. She doubted the terrain even allowed for the height difference needed; after all they were in a forest far from the Rusturf Mountain Range.

As Caleb released his Jolteon, Shalin smiled, thinking about Volt. "It's impressive he can keep up," she idly remarked, thinking about Volt, her own Jolteon. "I've got one, too. He's quite a bit bigger than that, and his fur's... more of a green color."

After Shalin had received the HoloWear's signal, she slid off her Type: Null's back before switching the normal-type out for a Flygon. Once the dragon-type appeared, her SYGNA SUIT began to hum and glow with the faint, green light of Infinity Energy. "Paralyzing it will help a lot. Thievul also have really sensitive ears," the Captain half-whispered, trying to keep her voice down while still being easy enough to understand. "Sandy here can overload them easily," she gestured toward the saddled Flygon that she was the spitting image of in her suit.

Her smile turned into a grin. "And that's where my Sygna Suit comes in. What you're about to see us do might... be a bit hard to believe if you've never seen these suits before." The Flygon lowered both her wings to the ground, Shalin walking around and straddling one. The dragon lifted her into the air using the amazingly strong appendages backed by the strength of the perfected bond between the two. In defiance of what should have been physically possible, she was atop Sandy by one of her wings. With how Flygon produced some of their attacks, physics would dictate she would not be able to stay on for more than a split second.

Sygna Suits, however, made the impossible possible.

"If you can stun that Thievul long enough, you'll get to see!" Shalin answered Caleb in a teasing tone, though she was serious about what she was going to do. Nari's fangs clamped down upon the Thievul, rendering its muscles limp and barely able to move. "Nice shot! Now, cover your ears and watch what a Sygna Suit can do!"

Shalin held onto the Flygon's wing with all four limbs, a pale-green BUG ZONE expanding outward from her and her synced partner. "Sandy, BUG BUZZ!" she ordered, the dragon-type spreading her wings wide. The Captain, a passenger on the insectile Pokémon's wing, held on tight as her mount began fluttering and buzzing, turning the girl into a streak of light representing the discharge of Infinity Energy between her suit and her Flygon. The noisy buzz pierced the dark-type fox's skin and did its damage on the inside; perhaps even Caleb could feel the vibrations from a distance.

The wild collapsed from the headaches that bug vibrations cause in dark-type Pokémon, giving Caleb a golden opportunity to make the capture. From there, it would be a simple delivery task. The hard part would be over.

Shalin didn't see Caleb make the capture right away; her eyes were seemingly taped shut from the extreme motion, Sandy having to slowly discharge excess Infinity Energy and lower her wing speed gradually. It took a long time before Shalin was visible to the naked eye again, the fierce vibrations no longer rocking her. She looked happier than a lottery winner as she came off the unimaginable adrenaline high from going even faster than the Master of Faster did. "Whew-ee!" she exhaled. "What a ride!!"

Once she had regained enough of her senses, Shalin slid down from the Flygon's wing. "Yep, but each suit is specific to one or two Pokémon!" the Captain answered. "And the possibilities are only limited by your bond with your Pokémon! It's how Sandy can buzz so fast and I don't fall. As long as the bond is there, your suit is whatever you want it to be!"

What Shalin did in her Sygna Suit would have reduced her to mush without it. Provided she had a container that could withstand it, she could use a combination of her Ariados' adhesive and her Flygon's vibrations to create a shake more smooth than even the most powerful blender was capable of.

With the Pokémon captured and ready to be transported back to the outskirts of Oldale Town, Shalin would switch ride Pokémon to her Type: Null, hop on, and keep pace with Caleb and whichever method of transport he chose. "Sygna Suits can grow in power as your bond grows, as well. Once it peaks... it's like being an Avatar, but of an ordinary Pokémon. I haven't tested that aspect myself, but from what I've heard from Science, it's on par with an Avatar's capabilities."

As to prove her point, she channeled her Flygon's Infinity Energy, the nails of a DRAGON CLAW forming atop her own. "You become part of your Pokémon, and your Pokémon becomes part of you."
